Project Assistant for the Executive Master's Program in Indigenous Studies, Department of Sociology

Position Description

1. Work Location

National Sun Yat-sen University (NSYSU), or other locations required for project implementation, including short-term overseas exchange visits and off-campus student recruitment activities.

2. Salary

Salary and employment conditions will be in accordance with the National Sun Yat-sen University Regulations Governing Contract Employees and the Guidelines for the Employment and Management of Contract Personnel.

  • Three-month probation period.
  • Starting monthly salary:
    • Bachelor's degree: NT$34,510
    • Master's degree: NT$41,000
  • Year-end bonus equivalent to 1.5 months' salary, calculated on a pro-rata basis according to the period of employment.

3. Employment Period and Working Hours

  1. The appointment begins on the date of employment and continues through July 31, 2025, or until the completion of the project, whichever is applicable.
  2. Regular working hours are 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., with a one-hour lunch break. Working hours may be adjusted as needed to support project-related activities, such as events and meetings.

4. Responsibilities

  1. Assist in implementing the Ministry of Education Subsidy Program for Indigenous Student Programs at Colleges and Universities (Academic Year 2025–2026), including project reimbursement, financial reporting, and project completion.
  2. Assist with student recruitment and student support services for the Executive Master's Program in Indigenous Studies, Department of Sociology (including occasional visits to Indigenous communities).
  3. Assist students in organizing and curating exhibitions related to their technical reports.
  4. Perform other duties as assigned.

5. Qualifications

Applicants should:

  1. Hold a bachelor's degree or higher.
  2. Indigenous applicants are especially encouraged to apply.
  3. Prior experience in university administration is preferred.
  4. Demonstrate strong organizational skills, the ability to work under pressure, and excellent communication and coordination abilities.
  5. Be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Experience in financial administration and event planning is preferred.
  6. Possess English communication and writing skills.
